Hey Cupcake!

We hung out with Memaw today during lunch. She has a long lunch break, so we had time to visit the park and she treated us to some fancy cupcakes!

Hey Punk-in'!

Counting Beads
"Stringing" Beads onto a pipe cleaner

Cutting Paper

Turning all these things into a Jack-o-Lantern!

We were able to make dozens of silly pumpkin faces with the bits

of black paper he had snipped. They were silly, scary, and cute!

We saved some of the "best" bits and glued them onto a pom-pom.

Spooooky!

What did I do today?

I used my scissors. Mom told me the safety rules a bunch of times. I may or may not have listened. But I did cut a bunch of papers!
I connected the dots. Mom dotted some papers and I connected the dots to make shapes.

I wrote letters in my green salt box.

I use flashcards to help me remember what they look like, and then

trace my finger in the box. It's messy, and I love it!

I drew a picture of my Mom and my Dad. Mom is the pink one. Dad has the brown beard.

I crashed. Hard. Being four is hard work!

Walk in the Woods

We went for a walk in the woods today. We listened to the birds, and chased a few squirrels. We found some Geocaches, and some really interesting fungi. We didn't watch any TV. We didn't have the iPad with us. We just hung out, had a picnic lunch and sloshed around in the mud for a bit.
And it was perfect.

Happy Birthday!

Four wonderful, amazing, frustrating, beautiful, quirky years.

I hope your entire life is as sweet and awesome as these years have felt to us.

You rock, little boy.

I love you.

Leaves, Picks, Pins

Tweezers and fall leaves - sorting by color into small containers

Toothpicks into a Shaker Jar

Attaching the mini-clothespin to the matching lower-case letter

Chef Punk

Helping in the kitchen makes The Punk feel like a big kid. I love letting him don his little apron (and new fancy Chef hat) and help me whenever possible. And with store bought mixes - it's even easier for him to do it "All by myself"! Just add water, and smiles.
